Perspective is a wonderful thing in many ways. It allows us to connect with others and allows people to a place of understanding for each other to come. Agreement also means sometimes but not always. However, as educators, it is important to understand that patience is a key factor to consider in training our students to learn and grow in wisdom. Over time, our students learn to appreciate and understand our point of view, and the value of what we gave them, but weto educate our students in line, if we see their immediate reaction. Winnie the Pooh can be summed up in this precise when he said: ".. If the person who speaks, does not seem to listen, be patient, it may simply be that a small piece of gauze in the ear"
Simple words, but profound truth. Even more difficult, though to act as teachers and educators. But if we set aside our need, credit, or our need to get something out of it,then we can be free to continue doing what we do, fair, and change the lives of our students on their way. Sure is nice to have a positive feedback, and we're all better off with him, but if I do not understand our duty to change teachers? No, we are called to be even more effective conveyor of information, both in teaching concepts and teaching skills, we are called to do our job well.
To achieve this goal, we must put aside our need for attention. E 'is an old word of instruction, a thankless job, and many, many students in schools are still focusing on education. Why? If the field is so thankless, one might imagine that the majors of education would disappear. They are not, then I would say that there is still an intrinsic value in other training is their reward. We have to depend on this.
When I was in college, I wrote my parents a note. I described how I had come to value their years of education, leads me toright way and allowed me to gain solid skills, I highly educational opportunities, etc. It 'been a "flower" rather long and in writing that they know that I started to make them see things from their perspective. I was only twenty years, got to get there. go on my letter, my father called me and funny in his best voice, said: "Well, you're at the right time with this"
I was shocked and almost hurt that he did not see the deep meaning in my letter, but that was thePoint, is not it? He saw the value in my writing, because he had invested time and energy in the last 20 years in creating this value.
Education is related to fatherhood in this way. We need to create value over time, patience and calm, and one day, at the right time for our students to understand the benefits of what they have earned from our point of view!
